Binoj Basnyat is a retired Nepali Army Major General and a political and security analyst. He is an independent Strategic Analyst, and a Columnist. He is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK and a graduate from Command & General Staff College, the USA, and a Graduate from National Defense College, India.

He is devotedly involved in political and security analysis, advising, writing, editing, and participating in intellectual capacity in Geopolitics and National Security. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Defense and Strategic Studies with first class from the University of Madras.
